HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton junior forward Rebekah Beal (Nashville, N.C.) and senior midfielder Laisy Scardazzi (Sao Paulo, BRAZIL) both picked up 2018 All-Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer honors, league officials announced earlier today.

Beal was named to the all-league second team while Scardazzi picked up all-conference third-team honors.  Both players earned All-Conference Carolinas accolades for the second straight year.

Beal leads the team in assists with seven in addition to a pair of goals and 11 points while Scardazzi ranks first on the squad in goals scored (seven) to go along with 15 points.  Scardazzi also has two match-winning scores.

Barton (10-6-1, 5-5-1) has won four straight matches including an upset victory over North Greenville, 2-1, on the road in the Quarterfinal Round of the Conference Carolinas Tournament Quarterfinals.  The Bulldogs take on third-seeded Belmont Abbey (13-3) in the semifinal round tonight at 7:00 p.m.  Barton is seeded seventh in the tournament.
