Barton women’s golf set to co-host the 2019 Battle at Hilton Head

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Barton women's golf team will co-host with Lincoln Memorial University the 2019 Battle at Hilton Head, which is taking place Monday, February 25, and Tuesday, February 26, at the Robert Trent Jones Course at Palmetto Dunes.

The field features 21 teams including seven ranked inside the Top 50 National Golfstat Rankings:  Florida Tech (No. 16), Anderson (S.C.) (No. 22), Lenoir-Rhyne (No. 24), Missouri-St. Louis (No. 27), Henderson State (No. 34), Carson-Newman (No. 37) and Columbus State (No. 47).  In the current WGCA NCAA Division II National Top 25 rankings, Florida Tech is No. 18 while Missouri-St. Louis is ranked 23rd overall.

The Bulldogs opened the season two weeks ago at the Lincoln Memorial Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate in Saint Augustine, Fla., where the squad finished 11th overall and were led by senior Kelsey Woodall (Chester, Md.).  Woodall tied for 31st overall.
