HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton College's Kianna Wynn has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week, league officials announced earlier today.  Wynn, a senior forward from Knightdale, N.C., wins the honor for the third time this season.

Wynn averaged 29.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per contest while shooting 71.1 percent from the field (27-of-38) in leading Barton to a pair of Conference Carolinas wins last week over then first-place Belmont Abbey (64-58) and Southern Wesleyan (103-74), respectively.

On Senior Day against the Warriors on Saturday afternoon, Wynn finished with 36 points and 11 rebounds – two points off her career-high – and shot 16-of-20 from the after a 23-point effort against the Crusaders three days earlier.

Wynn, a three-time All-Conference Carolinas honoree, ranks second in the league in scoring at 23.5 points per game and ranks third all-time on the Bulldogs' scoring list with 1,961 points.

Barton (19-4, 12-4) has won five straight games and has moved into a first-place tie in the Conference Carolinas regular season standings with Belmont Abbey.  The Bulldogs host long-time rival Mount Olive on Tuesday beginning at 5:30 p.m.
