Jeff Lennox will begin his first season as head coach of the men's
and women's volleyball programs at Barton College in 2012-13 after
being hired in May of 2012.
Lennox had been serving as head men's volleyball coach and assistant women's volleyball coach at Elmira College (N.Y.) before coming to the Bulldogs.
Lennox is a 2008 graduate of Juniata College (Pa.) and is obtaining a master's degree in Education from Elmira this spring. In his four years of service with Head Coach Rhonda Faunce, Elmira's women's team had compiled an overall record of 89-42 and claimed one championship and one runner-up finish in the East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC). The Soaring Eagles won the ECAC regular season title in 2011 and playing in the championship game of the conference tournament in both 2010 and 2011.
Lennox was the first coach of Elmira's new men's program in 2011 and led the Soaring Eagles to an overall record of 33-39 over two seasons. His 2012 team completed its season with a 22-18 mark and had an NCAA Division III national ranking as high as 12th.
Lennox served as the primary recruiter for both volleyball teams at Elmira. The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) named him as one of its 30 Under 30 Award recipients for 2012. This award is presented to the most distinguished coaches in the nation under the age of 30. He also has coaching experience at Huntingdon Area High School (Pa.) and with the Nittany Valley Juniors and Kaepa Lion's Pride Volleyball Clubs.
