Barton’s Webster receives 2017 NSCA All-American Athlete of the Year Award

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. –  The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is proud to announce Barton's Andrew Webster as a 2017 All-American Athlete of the Year Award recipient.

This award recognizes Webster's athletic accomplishments and his dedication to strength and conditioning. Nominated by Barton's Director of Sports Performance, Tim Dornemann, Webster's determination to improve on the field while maintaining academic prominence is a great model for all student-athletes across the country.

Webster, a catcher and infielder for the Barton baseball team, maintains a 3.2 GPA while majoring in exercise science. On the diamond, the senior is a two-time Conference Carolinas All-Conference honoree and was named the league's player fo the Year following the 2016 season.

This season, the Pittsboro, N.C. native has compiled 72 total hits for a .400 batting average, including 15 doubles. His 21 home runs lead all players across all divisions of NCAA competition as Webster has also driven in 55 RBI and scored 57 runs of his own.
